As a "recovering" control freak, it is driving me nuts not knowing when little miss Elsa Marie is destined to arrive. I made the mistake of convincing myself that she was going to come 2 to 3 weeks early. So even though my due date isn't for another couple of days, I feel like I'm weeks late.
The only comfort I have is that she is my daughter and perhaps she will take after me - a stickler for deadlines. It only makes sense that she's holding out for her actual due date. Right? RIGHT?!
Well, just in case she hasn't gotten the memo that she's due on Saturday, I've written an eviction notice. I can't exactly mail it to her but I thought if it was posted for the world to see, she might be shamed to coming on time. If not, I have the comfort of knowing that my doctor's office won't let me go more than a week past her due date!
From The Office of Mama Claussen
Miss Elsa Marie Reerslev Claussen:
While it has been a pleasure hosting you as the sole resident of the all-inclusive Mama Claussen Resort, please be aware that the resort is scheduled to undergo major renovations at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, January 15. Management has requested that you evacuate the premises by the specified time to allow the contractors to start on their work.
To help with your transition, the management has arranged for you to continue to have 24 hour access to the resort's gourmet restaurant for up to the next 12 months. We have also arranged complimentary accommodations at Claussen Haus, an up-and-coming bed and breakfast. The owners have agreed to honor these arrangements for 18 years, giving you adequate time to explore and prepare for your future destinations.
Again, it has been a pleasure having you as a guest of our resort but the management and construction crew are anxious to get the renovations underway.
Sincerely,
Mama Claussen
I wish I would have known you'd started blogging earlier! lol Love this notice by the way =)
